Second Drawer Liberated — Enemy Still Active

WAR BULLETIN 007 / OPERATION PANTRY FREEDOM
16 October 2026 · Day Three · General Headquarters

TL;DR / Situation Summary: The second drawer has been cleaned, but adult moths remain active. Vortex interception is underway, sealed storage is still needed, and the General expects his wife’s reinforcements on Sunday.

TERRITORY RECLAIMED. THE WAR GOES ON.

General Jakub Marek Brzęczyszczykiewicz-Szczęśniewski — Generał Chrząszcz — has completed another punishing day at the front. The second drawer has been cleaned and brought back into service. Unfortunately, the Moth Kingdom has declined to recognize our victory.

I. SECOND DRAWER RECLAIMED

SECTOR DELTA — Cleaned drawer restored to service with protected supplies.

The latest liberated territory now houses an orderly garrison of containers, tins and jars. An impressive gain, achieved through real lifting, scrubbing and sorting by the General himself. This is not a headquarters-only war.

II. ENEMY AIR ACTIVITY CONTINUES

Shortly after the drawer was cleaned, Helena opened a cupboard and an enemy moth took flight. Its point of origin could not be confirmed. Later reconnaissance observed three moths at once: two on the walls, one flying. The first contact may have involved one of the same aircraft.

The source remains unknown. Reclaimed ground is not proof that the surrounding theatre is secure.

III. NEW WEAPON: THE VORTEX INTERCEPTOR

WEAPONS TRIAL — Bosch close-quarters vortex interceptor, ready for deployment.

The enemy has a familiar response to approaching threats: take off and escape. The new Bosch interceptor uses that instinct against them. A sudden air vortex turns a confident takeoff into an unexpected trip down the suction tube. The same system has also been deployed against fruit flies.

IV. ARACHNID DIVISION — FRIENDLY FIRE

High Command initially believed the senior spider had departed for a better job offer. The grim truth emerged later: he had fallen to friendly fire from our own feline forces. The smaller but fiercer spider remains on duty. The General regrets the loss of a valuable, substantially underpaid veteran — and has requested a review of cat-versus-spider identification procedures.

He survived the Moth Kingdom. He did not survive his own allies.

V. LOGISTICS: SHIELD TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED

SUPPLY HOLDING AREA — Remaining dry-food provisions awaiting defensive storage containers.

A mountain of provisions remains outside the drawers. Without proper shield technology — sealed storage boxes — returning these supplies to the liberated territory would merely offer the enemy a fresh logistics base. Procurement is now as important as reconnaissance.

VI. REINFORCEMENTS AND ALLIED COMMAND

Full liberation before Sunday, 18 October now looks unlikely. After days of hauling supplies, cleaning drawers and holding the line against renewed moth activity, Generał Chrząszcz has formally requested reinforcements.

The General’s wife — the Supreme Allied Commander — is expected to return on Sunday. She will enter the theatre as a fellow commander, not a spectator. General Headquarters has issued a new morale portrait of the two commanders standing together against the invaders.

ALLIED COMMAND — Reinforcements expected. Together, the commanders will hold the line.

The feline reserve continues to conserve energy from a safe distance. High Command nevertheless reports a substantial improvement in morale.

Victory may yet require two commanders.

End-of-day situation report

The war continues. The General has done the physical work. The enemy has yet to receive the memo.
